Four guys embark on a wild weekend. Shenanigans and hi-jinks ensue. It’s rude, it’s crude, it’s funny and it’s NOT The Hangover. Instead I’m talking about Hot Tub Time Machine. Yes, its absurd as the title sounds. Does Hot Tub Time Machine sink in it’s own ridiculousness or does it float to the top of its genre?

Hollywood has been rampant with remakes these days. For the most part, a lot of them, at least in recent memory, have been awful (Clash of the Titans, A Nightmare on Elm Street etc.) This week Hollywood brings us a remake of the classic 1984 film, The Karate Kid, starring mini Will (Jaden Smith) and Jackie Chan. The film promises a fresh take on the original with a few surprises thrown in for good measure. So the question is, does the film fall flat on its face or is it able to deliver the final blow?

While watching Grown Ups, starring Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, Rob Schneider and David Spade, I realized two things. First, I learned about the fallacy of composition – the theory that says the whole will equal the sum of its parts. Second, I learned that sometimes you have to look past what’s wrong with a film and see it for what it is.

Looks like they don’t provide any sunflower seeds in soccer and apparently someone was hungry. German soccer coach was caught on film eating his own booger. You don’t think he could have waited until halftime? Also he looks like he thinks no one is going to notice with tens of thousands of people surrounding him on all sides? Also notice how freaked he gets when the guy sitting next to him sits down and he pulls a sweet low pro move ”

Rupert Grint rose to fame after the first ‘Harry Potter’ film was released and has continued to have a successful career thanks to the franchise. He plays character Ron Weasley on the franchise and has not gotten the full attention from audiences he deserves. Some legendary director on the other hand believes that Rupert Grint stole the show in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise.

Think of it as the iPad for the work place. The Cius, coming from Cisco will be released in 2011 and is a Android based tablet. It is similar to the iPad but instead is targeting the business market. One of the biggest features for the Cius will be video conferencing. The Cius will have a 720p camera on the front and a five mega pixel camera on the back. The tablet will be 7 inches and only 1.15 pounds so it can easily fit into any briefcase.

The role of Spider-Man for the upcoming reboot of the series has finally been cast! According to Blue Sky Disney Josh Hutcherson (Journey To The Center of the Earth) has been cast in the role. Many names had been circling around the role for a while including Jamie Bell and Anton Yelchin. Most people were thinking the role would go to Bell, I for one hoped that it would.

Just thought I’d share this video I found. This dude was pretty smart to accept a call at this time, and even smarter to not be looking at the field. Rap superstar Eminem recently released his latest album, Recovery. The first official sales numbers are in and Billboard tells us that the albumsold 741,000 copies making it #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This is the largest sales week for an album since 2008 in which ACDC’s Black Ice moved 784,000 copies. Eminem’s last album, Relapse, only sold 608,000. Recovery marks Eminem’s sixth straight No. 1 Debut.

Damon Lindelof, most well known for his role as the primary writer on the television show LOST, has started writing the sequel to Star Trek, Star Trek 2. According to his Twitter he is back from his vacation (presumably the vacation he took to celebrate the end of LOST) and his now ready to start writing Star Trek 2.
