Chef Raekwon has dropped a trailer for the upcoming ‘Ason Jones’ video which will be featured in the Gold edition of Only Built for Cuban Linx Part II.

The video is a dedication to who many consider to be the heart and soul of Wu-Tang Clan, a man who went by many names: the Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Ason Jones, Dirt McGirt or just ODB.

The album is currently available on iTunes and at your local record store.

Wu-Tang is also currently touring in the Rock the Bells 2010 tour, featuring ODB’s son Boy Jones playing the part of his father. Read about it here.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard debuted on the Wu-Tang classic, Enter the 36 Chambers. He immediately became one of the most recognized voices from the Clan, and followed Method Man by debuting his solo album: Return to the 36 Chambers, which this writer ranks on his top-ten all-time hip-hop albums. It featured such classics as Brooklyn Zoo and Shimmy-Shimmy-Ya.

He went on to do songs with such acclaimed artists as Busta Rhymes, Mariah Carey and countless others, while still appearing on most subsequent Wu-tang albums. He battled drug and prison issues, and kind of declined a little, as did the Wu, in the early 2000s, before his untimely death in November 2004. He died of a drug overdose at RZA’s recording studio in New York.

ODB had recorded two solo albums and has a posthumous release scheduled to come out soon.
