6 New Clips From The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader

With only a week left to go before The Chronicles of Narnia The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is released, Disney are really giving the film a big marketing push and today 6 new clips from the film have appeared online courtesy of Collider. This is the third instalment of the massive franchise based on C.S. Lewis' bestselling fantasy novels, it is directed by Michael Apted who perhaps most famously helmed The World Is Not Enough for the Bond franchise. To be honest I haven't not been a huge follower of the franchise and I feel pretty much the same towards the books. To me these films seem to be very post-Lord of the Rings and are therefore a tad unremarkable, but they do appeal for a more kid friendly audience and work well for demographic.

With only a week left to go before The Chronicles of Narnia The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is released, Disney are really giving the film a big marketing push and today 6 new clips from the film have appeared online courtesy of Collider.

This is the third instalment of the massive franchise based on C.S. Lewis’ bestselling fantasy novels, it is directed by Michael Apted who perhaps most famously helmed The World Is Not Enough for the Bond franchise. The story for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is as follows:

Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their pesky cousin Eustace Scrubb – find themselves swallowed into a painting and on to a fantastic Narnian ship headed for the very edges of the world. Joining forces once again with their royal friend Prince Caspian and the warrior mouse Reepicheep, they are whisked away on a mysterious mission to the Lone Islands, and beyond.

On this bewitching voyage that will test their hearts and spirits, the trio will face magical Dufflepuds, sinister slave traders, roaring dragons and enchanted merfolk. Only an entirely uncharted journey to Aslan’s Country – a voyage of destiny and transformation for each of those aboard the Dawn Treader – can save Narnia, and all the astonishing creatures in it, from an unfathomable fate.

To be honest I haven’t not been a huge follower of the franchise and I feel pretty much the same towards the books. To me these films seem to be very post-Lord of the Rings and are therefore a tad unremarkable, but they do appeal for a more kid friendly audience and work well for demographic. However I must confess, the first clip of the water coming through the painting was impressive, check out the rest below.
