I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
Jesse Baget's newest dark comedy/thriller Breathless is coming to Blu-Ray in just a couple of weeks and today we have a brand new red band trailer and a brief clip from the film, which stars Gina Gershon, Kelli Giddish, Val Kilmer and Ray Liotta.
Randy Couture and Dominic Purcell star in the upcoming Blu-Ray release of Hijacked. Two new clips have made their way to the web, which showcases the talent on display in this new airplane actioner.
Elizabeth Olsen's scream-filled performance, combined with the one take filming technique and the minimal lighting make Silent House a creepy and atmospheric film, but the script only has enough material for 25 good minutes, with the rest of the film feeling like a stretched out mess.
The Flowers of War is China's most expensive film ever made, yet in no way does the budget enhance the story. Christian Bale continues his impressive career with another above-average performance, but the bloated running time and the lack of dramatic tension makes the film feel uneven and hard to sit through.
Intruders is a complete failure. Clive Owen's performance is off-balance and out of focus, while Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's direction is full of overused horror shots, which elicit not a single scare.
Casa de mi Padre is another look inside the weird mind of Will Ferrell. He both pays tribute to a genre while making his own full-fledged entry. The film is funny, but not in a traditional sense. Fans of Ferrell will want to approach this experimental film with caution, regardless of the Blu-Ray's technical qualities.
Lockout is a poor man's Escape from New York. Aside from Guy Pearce's asshole charms and the occasionally impressive action shootout, Lockout is a dry and action-light rip-off of a dozen better corny B films from the late 80s/early 90s.
The Butterfly Effect is a promising and original sci-fi film from newcomer directors Eric Bress and J. Mackye Gruber. If you can look past its logical flaws you might just find yourself enjoying the concepts they play around with.
