Rumor Is Sony Gave Uncharted’s Director The Boot

It seems like the project of turning video game Uncharted into a full-fledged movie isn’t far from being flushed down the cinematic sewage system, being without a suitable screenplay or even a potential director. Anonymous sources revealed to the Los Angeles Times that Sony was unimpressed by director David O. Russell’s (The Fighter) imagination. Their disapproval of his ideas for the uncreated Uncharted screenplay led to the one-time director carefully resigning from the production altogether.

Hackers Threaten Sony On Twitter

Sony had better look out—a hacker group named Lulzsec is out to get them. The group openly claims full credit for their hack on PBS as well as on Sony BMG Japan, and are now hinting through Twitter that an operation directed toward the downfall of Sony is being planned. Hitman: Absolution Is In Store For An Update

The latest heads-up from IO Interactive is that Hitman: Absolution is going to stay true to its core while being made more available to a worldwide audience. In his interview with Digital Trends, Absolution's director Tore Blystad remarked that since newcomers were discouraged by the "learning curve" of the series' previous releases, the firm is taking steps to simplify the game:

Max Irons And Claire Foy Will Star In Vivaldi

Official news regarding Boris Damast's latest project—Vivaldi, the historical epic about one of the greatest Italian composers, is now scheduled for production in September of this year. British actor Max Irons, recent star of Catherine Hardwicke's Red Riding Hood, will be playing Antonio Vivaldi himself, while fellow Brit Claire Foy (BBC's Little Dorrit) is also set to star as in another unknown lead role. There are rumors that Neve Campbell, Tom Wilkinson, Alfred Molina, Jacqueline Bisset, and Sebastian Koch may join the cast of Vivaldi, although negotiations are still in process.

With the final part of the Harry Potter films out in a little more than a month on July 15, retrospectives of all 8 Harry Potter films are being posted on YouTube in honor of J.K. Rowling's bestselling series. One of the most outstanding is Through the Pensieve, a memorial in honor of Harry Potter and his friends. All Harry Potter fans know that a pensieve is a magical basin used to truly experience people's memories, which is why this YouTube "pensieve" is so great. The video itself is well put together, showcasing Harry and his friends in their most emotional and memorable moments throughout the films.

The Lion King Getting 3D Release

Who hasn’t heard of The Lion King, one of Disney’s mega-successful animated films that first hit theaters in 1994. It was probably the first animated Disney film to not include any human involvement in the plot, only featuring animal action. The film also boasted some fantastic music and a touching story. Regardless of its DVD release in 2003, The Lion King is actually out of print in that format. The film’s popularity has convinced Disney to re-open their vault though and release The Lion King on home video.

First Poster For The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn–Part 1 is set to be released on November 18th and above you can check out the first teaser poster for the film, which is highly anticipated by Twi-hards everywhere. Then...there's the rest of us, who are neither pro-Twilight or anti-Twilight. I have to admit, this upcoming Twilight film is the one from the saga that I'm the least excited about. I'm not fond of Stephenie Meyer's popular vampire novels, and my unimpressed reaction to the above poster only confirms that. However, since I've read all four of Meyer's books, I can already see that Breaking Dawn has the most controversial and questionable material of all volumes in the series.
