With the release of Justice League Dark now being behind us, it’s time that we look forward to the next DC animated film to be released by Warner Home Video, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. Originally slated to arrive in 2008, this loose adaptation of the popular comic written by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by George Perez has finally become a reality and is set to arrive via Digital HD on April 4, with Blu-ray and DVD releases following on April 18, which, to be quite honest, falls within the period we predicted.

Yes, we did do a rundown of the initially announced voice cast not long ago, but some exciting new additions have been revealed that Young Justice fans will want to take note of, so do pay attention. Aside from the previously disclosed lot that included Christina Ricci (Terra) and Miguel Ferrer (Deathstroke), Justice League vs. Teen Titans veterans making their return include Sean Maher (Nightwing), Taissa Farmiga (Raven), Jake T. Austin (Blue Beetle), Brandon Soo Hoo (Beast Boy), Kari Wahlgren (Starfire) and Stuart Allan (Robin).

As for the new arrivals, those include Gregg Henry (Brother Blood), Maria Canals-Barrera (Jaime’s mother), Meg Foster (Mother Mayhem), Crispin Freeman (Speedy),  Masasa Moyo (Bumblebee), David Zayas (Jaime’s father), Jason Spisak (Kid Flash) and Kevin Smith as, well, Kevin Smith.

If you’ve been waiting for an official plot synopsis, here you go:

Led by Starfire, the Teen Titans – Beast Boy, Raven, Blue Beetle, Robin and the just-returned Nightwing – have built a cohesive team in their never-ending battle against evil; but their newest teammate, the mysterious and powerful Terra, may be altering that dynamic. Meanwhile, an ancient evil, Brother Blood, has awakened, and familiar foe Deathstroke is lurking in the shadows – both waiting to pounce. Ultimately, the Teen Titans will need to battle their enemies and their own doubts to unite and overcome the malicious forces around them in this twisting tale of intrigue, adventure and deception.
