Doctor Who Four Doctor Crossover Coming This August From Titan Comics

With a new Doctor Who on the horizon - as incumbent actor Peter Capaldi will exit the show this Christmas - what better time is there to celebrate the different incarnations of the time-travelling hero that the hit BBC sci-fi series has brought us over the past ten years? With a new Doctor Who on the horizon – as incumbent actor Peter Capaldi will exit the show this Christmas – what better time is there to celebrate the different incarnations of the time-travelling hero that the hit BBC sci-fi series has brought us over the past ten years? That’s the thinking from Titans Comics, as they’re about to deliver a four-way crossover featuring the union of Doctors Nine through Twelve.

The crossover will be titled Doctor Who: The Lost Dimension and, according to Comic Book Resources, is “set to tell its story in eight chapters over the course of three months.” It kicks off with an Alpha Issue to be released in August, ahead of Titan’s “Doctor Who Comics Day” global event on Saturday, September 2nd. The series will come from the creators of all the various Doctor Who books out there: writers Nick Abadzis (Tenth Doctor), George Mann (Eleventh Doctor) and Cavan Scott (Ninth Doctor) with artists Rachael Stott (Twelfth Doctor) and Rob Fernandes.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Lost Dimension, which hardcore Doctor Who fans will notice features a concept that was a key part of David Tennant’s era of the show:

The event will begin a new era for Titan’s Doctor Who comics, and will find the Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth Doctor playing their part to battle The Void! The Void has always existed: ‘No place. The silent realm. The lost dimension.’ But the Void is no longer empty. The Void is hungry, and devouring our universe — through time and space. Now, the four Doctors must join forces to save…everything!”

Starring Capaldi, Pearl Mackie and Matt Lucas, Doctor Who is currently airing its tenth season every Saturday on BBC America.
