If online giant Amazon is to be believed, Telltale Games’ new-fangled adventure series Minecraft: Story Mode will launch in North America on October 27, before making its way across the pond for a release in the UK on October 30.

For reference, that would slate the release of the series’ premiere episode for Tuesday and Friday, aligning with the typical launch plans for the studio. Nevertheless, the developer is yet to comment on the alleged due date at the time of going to press. Amazon states that the physical copy includes the pilot episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, while the remaining four installments of the season will become available shortly after launch.

What we do know for sure is that Telltale has assembled quite the starry cast for its latest choice-based adventure, bringing together Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, The Last of Us star Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, industry veteran Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, and Paul Reubens. Though it raised a few eyebrows back when it was first revealed, the esteemed studio has earned the benefit of the doubt through its work on other genre entires such as The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, which have helped cement Telltale’s reputation as the go-to studio for adapting licensed products.

While we wait on an official announcement, here’s the official synopsis for Minecraft: Story Mode:

“Players will control protagonist Jesse throughout the season, as portrayed by actor Patton Oswalt. Jesse and his group of friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone; four adventurers who slayed an Ender Dragon.

“The Order is the very best at what they do: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect. While at EnderCon, Jesse and his friends discover that something is wrong… something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and they must set out on a journey to find The Order of the Stone if they are to save their world from oblivion.”

With Telltale Games yet to release anything official, we’d take this one with a grain of salt. How and ever, we’ll keep you posted on Minecraft: Story Mode and its release timeline as this story develops.
