Ubisoft officially revealed the box art for Assassin’s Creed III on their Facebook page this morning, and in the process confirmed recent rumors that the upcoming title would be set during the American Revolutionary War.

The game’s cover art shows the new (and so far unnamed) protagonist to the franchise, dressed in somewhat familiar assassin’s garb while killing a British soldier on a Revolutionary War battlefield.

Ubisoft did not reveal any further details about the game, however, Game Informer has announced that Assassin’s Creed III will be their April cover story and that it will contain the full scoop on the game’s new hero.
