Irrational Games released a new trailer for BioShock Infinite over the weekend, showing off a ton of new gameplay and providing a little bit of backstory on the game’s protagonist.

The player’s character, Booker DeWitt, is a former Pinkerton detective sent to find a missing woman in the floating city of Columbia. In exchange for tracking down the girl (who we presume is Elizabeth) Booker’s employers have promised to wipe clean his outstanding debts. In addition to the bits of story we are also treated to a ton of gameplay shots, including some familiar looking Tonic powers.

As for the trailer’s amazing soundtrack, it is a little song called Beast from the band Nico Vega. My guess is that by the time the trailer is over you will want to hear the full version, so I’ve been kind enough to track down a Youtube link of the entire song.

BioShock Infinite is scheduled to launch on February 26, 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Check out the game’s Beast of America trailer below.
