Blink And You’ll Miss This Latest Injustice 2 Trailer All About The Flash

Ever wondered what it would be like to be able to travel back in time and meet your past self? Of course you have. That reality may be a purely fictional one in our boring universe, but no such restrictions are placed on comic book characters, least of all The Flash, who performs that very feat in NetherRealm's latest trailer for Injustice 2. The absurdly-fast superhero is the individual being spotlighted with today's video, which pits the fleet-footed Justice League member against the likes of Captain Cold and Gorilla Grodd, the latter of which takes a rather comical beating throughout its duration.

As you’d expect, the Flash experiences no difficulty in outpacing his opponents, able to zoom off either side of the screen and immediately appear on the other to deliver a painful counterattack. By the looks of it, you’ll need to be just as gifted as the character in order to carry out some of the insane juggle combos shown off in the trailer, which begins and ends faster than you can say Wally West.

As is the case with every other finisher we’ve seen so far, the Flash’s is laced with spectacle and sees him take Grodd on a whistlestop tour of history – including to the age of the dinosaurs – before coming to a halt in the present day and putting out the lights on Grodd’s dreams of world domination. Speaking of which, you can find out more about the genius gorilla’s schemes in Injustice 2 by way of last week’s Shattered Alliances Part 4 trailer right here.

Injustice 2 is out May 16 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
