Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is barely over a week away from its North American release, and to whet our appetite, Square Enix has unveiled a tantalizing new trailer during the PAX East expo.

Though light on new story and gameplay details, the trailer makes one thing very clear, and that is the fact that Type-0 HD has definitely earned its ESRB Mature rating, which a first for the series. As the game takes place in the midst of a war, a high body count is promised, along with gritty, blood-soaked violence. While Final Fantasy as a whole is generally not a lighthearted series, this entry looks to take things to a much darker place than we’ve seen before.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will launch on March 17 for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
