Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Shoots Up Steam

Valve has confirmed that one of the year's most anticipated games, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (PC), will use the Steamworks suite of services. Pre-purchase reservations are now available via Steam, a leading platform for PC and Mac games with over 30 million accounts registered with users located around the world.

Valve has confirmed that one of the year’s most anticipated games, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (PC), will use the Steamworks suite of services. Pre-purchase reservations are now available via Steam, a leading platform for PC and Mac games with over 30 million accounts registered with users located around the world.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is slated for worldwide release on November 8th at retailers across the globe and via Steam. Those who pre-purchase the game will be able to start playing immediately upon its release on Steam. Published by Activision, it is being developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games.

The PC version of the product will be powered with Steamworks for both the digital and tangible versions of the game and, as with all Steamworks titles, offline play will also be supported along with auto-updating, achievements, and more. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will also support dedicated servers on day one.
