As the bombastic trailer above attests, this bundle will herald four all-new multiplayer maps in the form of Perplex, Chop Shop, Climate and the Mount Rushmore-set Site 244. Much like Havoc before it, this DLC is set to include new weaponry as well, not to mention the introduction of the popular grapple mechanic into the game’s multiplayer mode.

Alongside these is a brand new map for Advanced Warfare‘s Zombies Mode. On this occasion, players will be tasked with surviving waves of undead on the outskirts of an Atlas facility. With brute and armored zombies scrambling for your brains, it looks to be the perfect set-up for an entertaining, if nailbiting affair.

In tandem with today’s announcement, Sledgehammer Games’ Co-Founder Glen Schofield spoke about the work that went into Ascendence, and how it was ultimately the game’s passionate community that helped shape the DLC into what it is today.

The community response to Advanced Warfare continues to inspire us, and we’re pushing ourselves every day across all the teams to deliver our best. Havoc was a great start for DLC and we think Ascendance delivers even more of the nonstop action fans love.

Ascendence is the second of four planned DLC packs for the popular shooter, with Supremacy and Reckoning both planned for release before the year’s end. Based on Microsoft’s exclusivity deal with Acitvision, PlayStation owners can expect the add-on to arrive at the end of April, while Xbox owners can look forward to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s latest expansion next week, on March 31.
