To mark the launch of Call of Duty: Ghosts’ third DLC pack, Invasion, on Xbox platforms, Activision has released a new patch to stabilise in-game performance.

Taking to the title’s dedicated blog, the studio outlined a series of fixes and enhancements across both the game’s multiplayer and co-operative components:

Anti-Cheat

Overall anti-cheat improvements.

New Features

Golden Knife: Faster melee weapon available at prestige 5.
Golden PDW: Automatic firing secondary available at prestige 10.
New Multiplayer lobby music.

Extinction

Reverted changes associated with the Grenade Turret
5 new Relics
5 new Prestige Ranks

Crucially, the PlayStation 4 version of patch 1.13 won’t be available day and date, with official sources claiming that Activision will release the update at a later date.

Following up on Onslaught and Devastation, Invasion will introduce a quartet of small-to-medium sized multiplayer maps — including a spruced up rendition of Favela from Modern Warfare 2 — alongside an all-new mission for the alien-blasting Extinction mode called Awakening.

The four multiplayer maps encompass Departed, a rural town set in South America that also introduces a new killstreak entitled Death Mariachi; Pharaoh, an egyptian-set locale that takes players to the Pyramids and Mutiny, a sizeable map set on a Caribbean island in the vein of Far Cry 3.

Much like previous DLC packs for Call of Duty: Ghosts, the add-on will be priced at $14.99 if bought individually, though season pass holders will be able to download the extra content as part of their premium package. All in all, though, Invasion will weigh in at 1.52GB — on Xbox 360, at least.

As for PlayStation and PC owners, they can expect Call of Duty: Ghosts’ third content pack to debut around one month after Xbox platforms in keeping with Microsoft’s exclusivity deal.
