Today marks the release of Codemasters’ first full-length gameplay trailer for its much-anticipated racer, GRID 2. However, while the video is certainly impressive and appreciated, the term ‘full-length’ is used rather loosely here. In reality, the actual gameplay content is short and sweet, coming in at less than a minute in length. Then again, at least it’s something, giving us a short glimpse at what could end up being 2013’s best racing game.

GRID 2 will release on May 28th, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

First Full Length GRID 2 Gameplay Trailer Brings New World of Motorsport to Life

Los Angeles, Calif. – Feb. 14, 2013 – Today Codemasters® released the first full-length GRID 2™ gameplay trailer at www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRsNc-rB-Vs, revealing how a new world of competitive motorsport will come alive with cinematic style, stunning locations and beautifully rendered cars.

GRID 2, the long-awaited sequel to the BAFTA-award winning, critically acclaimed GRID™, will race into retail on May 28 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Windows® PC.

The gameplay video reveals a flavor of GRID 2’s unique racing experience and unveils a selection of the game’s beautifully realized locations, including Paris, Barcelona, Chicago, California and the Red Bull Ring. The video is now showing at www.youtube.com/gridgame.

GRID 2’s Road Racing locations are represented as cars including the BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution, Ford Mustang Mach 1 and Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS SS 1970 race head-to-head on the California Coast. Track Racing is shown at Austria’s Red Bull Ring, where the Ariel Atom 3, BAC Mono and KTM X-Bow R go flat out around this historic circuit.

Street Racing, meanwhile, is shown in Paris, as marques including the McLaren MP4-12C, Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG and Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition tear around the Arc de Triumph. Hot hatches including the Alfa Romeo Giuletta and Ford Focus ST race into the night in Barcelona and stunning cars including the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Nismo Z Tune, Pagani Huayra, Koenigsegg Agera R and more charge through Chicago.

Codemasters® is giving fans who pre-order at select retailers online or in stores a choice of GRID 2 Special Editions, which will feature extra content redeemable via download on PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE® for Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
