VG247 is bringing us new screenshots from SEGA‘s upcoming game Aliens: Colonial Marines, which is of course, based on the characters and creatures of the Alien movie franchise.

The sci-fi/horror FPS will act as a sequel of sorts to James Cameron‘s instalment in the series, Aliens. You’ll play as Corporal Christopher Winter, a Colonial Marine that is sent as part of a search and rescue team to investigate the U.S.S. Sulaco in hopes of finding Ellen Ripley and her crew.

If I recall correctly, that would play the game somewhere in between Aliens and Alien 3. Whether the game will have any ties or not to the upcoming Alien prequel, Prometheus, is unknown at this time, though I wouldn’t doubt it.

The game will drop in February and will be available on the PC, PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360.

Check out the screens below.
