Entitled New World Order, there’s still no release date to report for this latest installment – hardly surprising, given the series just enjoyed its sophomore outing with the launch of Children of Arkham earlier this week – but nevertheless, this does give us a tantilizing peek into where Telltale’s episodic take on the Caped Crusader is heading next. Those wary of spoilers would be best averting their eyes for now, or simply bookmark this page and return when you’re fully caught up with all the goings-on in Batman: The Telltale Series.

Bouncing off that, to champion the release of Children of Arkham swooping onto PS4, Xbox One and PC today, September 20 – additional release plans will likely be confirmed in the coming days – Telltale rolled out the official synopsis for the second entry.

With Gotham City’s first family mired in corruption, and an old friend now a dangerous adversary, the life of the Dark Knight is turned upside down. What was Thomas Wayne entangled in, and why was he killed? Determined to learn the truth about his father, Bruce sets out to question those involved in Gotham’s criminal past. But which mask will he wear – The billionaire, or the bat? Huge decisions will forever change the Batman and the lives of those around him, as he meets the Children of Arkham.

Batman: The Telltale Series continued earlier this week with the launch of Children of Arkham. Our review deemed the installment to be an enjoyable, if bloated experience. That’s disappointing, particularly when you consider the series’ strong premiere episode. Here’s hoping New World Order heralds a return to form for Telltale’s Caped Crusader.

Going off the studio’s release schedule hitherto, New World Order will likely swoop onto all platforms in and around the second or third week of November. Watch this space for more.
