Listen, we’re friends right? Friends do things for each other and I’m here to do one of those things for you. What? No, dude… not cool. This is why we can’t have nice things. I’m here to try to give 10 of you a chance to get into the alpha for City of Steam.

City of Steam is a steampunk free to play MMO available for play through your browser. Where most MMO’s seem to be comfortable recycling the same formula that has led to success in the past, Mechanist Games is thinking outside of the box in any way they can. A prime example are the Draug, a playable race that suffers from horrendous eyesight and have instead adapted a form of echolocation to find their way through the world. That’s right, the Draug are essentially a race of adventuring bat-people.

Now, you’re probably asking yourself what is it going to take to get hooked up with one of these keys. Well, let’s keep this one simple, shall we? Simply leave a comment below telling us what would get you the most excited in a steampunk MMO. The first ten people who comment will receive a code.

    A steampunk atmosphere would be very interesting to play in. It helps that I’ve been reading The Kingkiller Chronicle, which while it isn’t full steampunk, has some similarities.

    It woukd be amazing playing as a dragur! But I honestly don’t know what to expect for a steampunk mmo, but I’m very excited to see how this ends up being lile! I would just love a alpha code! I’ve been with steam and playing valve games for ever!
