As was expected, Infinity Ward has confirmed that Call of Duty: Ghosts will include a co-op mode, though no further details were released. The company revealed this in a Tweet from earlier this week, which can be seen below.

It’s safe to assume that the co-op mode referred to here is likely something similar to the Spec Ops mode found in previous games in the series, but without official confirmation that’s just pure speculation. A full-blown co-op campaign mode would be awesome too but that may be a bit much to ask for.

Whatever the team ends up deciding on, I’m sure it will be great. Previous co-op offerings have all been a blast and whether the mode that we get is simply something that’s been done before, or a whole new type of game mode, it will surely give players yet another reason to pick up what is sure to be one of 2013’s must have titles.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will release on November 5th, 2013 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Next-gen release dates are currently unknown but we’ll let you know when we hear more.

In the meantime, tell us, what kind of co-op do you think will be included here? Let us know in the comments below.
