Dance Central Spotlight Grooves Onto Xbox One On September 2

It's time for Xbox One owners to break out their dancing shoes, as developer Harmonix announced today that Dance Central Spotlight will be released on September 2. The digital-only title will carry a cost of only $9.99.

It’s time for Xbox One owners to break out their dancing shoes, as developer Harmonix announced today that Dance Central Spotlight will be released on September 2. The digital-only title will carry a cost of only $9.99.

The Kinect-required music game will feature 10 songs on the soundtrack, with an additional 50 tracks becoming available for purchase on launch. The core group of songs is the typical group  of chart-topping smashes such as “Happy” and “Royals.”

The full core soundtrack is as follows:

Avicii: Wake Me Up

Cher Lloyd: I Wish

David Guetta ft. Sia: Titanium

Jason Derulo ft. 2 Chainz: Talk Dirty

Kid Ink ft. Chris Brown: Show Me

Lorde: Royals

OneRepublic: Counting Stars

Pharrell Williams: Happy

Rihanna: Diamonds

will.i.am ft. Justin Bieber: #thatPOWER

While Harmonix has yet to reveal the entire list of 50 songs that will be available for download on launch date, they did provide a small taste of what’s to come. These are just a few of the tracks that will be available for download on September 2.

Emeli Sandé: Next to Me

Icona Pop ft. Charli XCX: I Love It

Lana Del Ray: Summertime Sadness (Cedric Gervais Remix)

The B-52’s: Love Shack

In addition to all of these new tracks, Harmonix has announced that all previously purchased content from earlier iterations of the Dance Central franchise will be available for use in Dance Central Spotlight at no extra charge to owners.

The core gameplay in Dance Central Spotlight will remain true to the franchise, albeit with some additional upgrades. Each track will now feature eight different routines for would-be dancers to choose from. The title will also feature an expanded and improved Fitness Mode, which will feature specific routines set to focus on strength and cardio.
