Naysayers may have called E3’s relevancy into question going into the 2016 trade show – not for the first time, mind you – but with Bethesda and Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two staking a claim for a big showcase, the June event will still be teeming with megaton announcements.

Another publisher has tossed its proverbial hat into the ring today – Metro 2033 and Last Light company, Deep Silver. That’s according to CEO and studio founder Klemens Kundratitz, who spoke to MCV about E3 2016, before hinting that a “major announcement” is currently brewing at Deep Silver.

Per MCV:

“We have a lot of games in the pipeline and are very much looking forward to E3, where we are not going to be absent and where we will make our next major announcement.”

By the time E3 rolls around in June, Deep Silver will have already publisher troubled shooter sequel Homefront: The Revolution, not to mention assisting on Comcept’s long-awaited and old-school platformer, Mighty No. 9. One glimpse over the studio’s roster of IP would suggest that a new entry in either the Saints Row or Metro franchises – or both – may very well be on the cards.

E3 2016 will descend on the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 14-16, 2016. Stay tuned as we’ll have full coverage of Deep Silver‘s “major announcement” along with every else in between.
