A debut cinematic trailer has been released to accompany the announcement, showcasing protagonists Fortune, Hardtack and Hollywood as they face off against a supervillain. Despite having multiple leads, Volition has confirmed that the game will be a single-player affair. Apparently, Agents will still be set in the Saints Row universe, though how deep the connections will go remains a mystery for now. The last line of the trailer, combined with a familiar-looking logo in some shots, certainly hints at the Third Street Saints having some past influence in this world.

Agents of Mayhem is planned for a 2017 release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with Deep Silver, Volition’s parent company since 2013, handling publishing duties.
