And it’s actually Jensen himself who emerges as the real star of the footage. Our hero explains that his augmentations have been holding unprecedented power in previous games, and promises we’ll get to see even more of what he’s capable of in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

As the trailer wears on, the narrator works his way through a small investigation that’s assumed to fit somewhere in the early stages of the game’s story, which revolves around clashes between augmented individuals and regular humans that have led to public outcry against the ‘Augs,’ bringing about what many are calling “mechanical apartheid.”

Jensen’s work in his investigation here takes us through a number of the potential approaches that could be taken; you could opt for a bloodthirsty, guns-blazing approach, a ghost-like stealth infiltration or even some degree that sits in the middle of the two.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is set for release on August 23 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Take a look at the trailer above and let us know what you think of Jensen’s sweet new powers.
