Publisher Devolver Digital has announced plans to bring an expansion to acclaimed first-person puzzle title, The Talos Principle.

Entitled Road to Gehenna, the add-on will release this spring and introduce players to Uriel, Elohim’s messenger, who is tasked with exploring a strange and mysterious world riddled with puzzles to solve and secrets to uncover. It includes four episodes in all, which will contain a host of never-before-seen characters as well.

According to Co-Writer Tom Jubert, who is a member of Croteam’s humble developing team, returning to the wonderful world of The Talos Principle was a no brainer, as the creative team had a host of new ideas vying to leap from the drawing board.

“We wanted to revisit the world of The Talos Principle and deliver new characters and a new world with its own history and culture. With Road to Gehenna we have created an all-new narrative which both branches off from and expands the original character’s journey.”

That aforementioned spring release is currently tethered to the Steam release of the DLC. As for The Talos Principle‘s anticipated arrival on PlayStation 4, Devolver revealed that the Portal-esque puzzler will make its way onto Sony’s console and Nvidia Shield later this year.

If the core game is any indication, players are in for another slice of cerebral, philosophical puzzle solving when The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna arrives on Steam in a couple of months time. Until then, you can share you own experiences with Croteam’s title using the comments below.
