So, what new features are in store for those that love nothing more than burning rubber? Codemasters isn’t quite ready to show its entire hand yet, but at least one new system, ‘Your Stage,’ will be included, which is described as being an “innovative rally route creation tool” that essentially enables the creation of a near-endless amount of unique tracks to race around.

All of the fine details can be tailored to your own tastes, including location and route parameters, which Your Stage will then use to generate a unique stage that can be shared with friends. The developer promises the ability to create extremely technical track layouts for advanced players as well as short, simpler routes for newbies. Five locations – Wales, Sweden, Spain, Australia and Michigan – have so far been detailed (via Eurogamer), all of which will presumably come with their own weather variations to keep you on your toes.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, however. Codemasters says it’s got a whole lot more to show for the game ahead of DiRT 4‘s June 9 release date on the aforementioned platforms, so buckle-up, the race towards summer has just begun!
