Building upon the bones of Assassin’s Creed: Chronicles – China, India looks to expand upon the series’ 2.5D stealth gameplay with new mechanics. Said enhancements include new moves — like a multi-hit smoke bomb and helpful chakrams — and the ability to blend in with the enemy. The world is also more alive, with Indian citizens, colourfully clothed elephants and all of the other unique qualities that 19th Century India has to offer.

“The year is 1841, and tensions between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company have been escalating,” reads the press release. “You are Arbaaz Mir, a master assassin, who must navigate this dangerous and uncertain time to save the one he loves and recover a mysterious item which was stolen from the Brotherhood.”

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India will be released on January 12th. Stay tuned for our full review.
