Microsoft led off their E3 Presentation by giving us our first look at the new Metal Gear Solid title. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain looks to be set in Outer Haven, putting us back in control of the original Naked Snake. The game is breaking away from the normal Metal Gear Solid motif too by throwing us into the middle of a seemingly massive open world.

The stealth mechanics have been revamped a bit to handle this, which was shown by Naked Snake hanging off the side of a horse as he trotted past a patrol. The trailer also promised real time weather effects, but all we were shown at this time was an admittedly impressive dust storm that rolled in, bringing visibility down to just a few meters.

The trailer ended by showing off a cast of new characters that all have signature Metal Gear quirks. Look for an article detailing them in the very near future. For now, check out the new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
