EA And Zoink Games Announce Cutesy Indie Platformer Fe

Similar to how Yarny wowed the E3 crowd last year, EA and Zoink Games have unveiled Fe, the cutesy platformer launching as part of EA Originals.

Launching as part of EA Originals, Fe is the all-new – and bloody beautiful – indie game arriving by way of Swedish developer, Zoink Games.

Part Unravel, part Ori and the Blind Forest, the striking platformer is billed as a “personal narrative about our relationship with nature, the land, and its beings.” Outside of the mesmerizing trailer embedded above, few details were offered up regarding gameplay other than the fact that you play as a young cub who awakens in the forest alone.

Exploration and discovery will therefore become key themes in Fe, as Zoink looks to create “a wordless celebration of our longing to be one with world around us,” and “a story that reminds us that everything in this world is connected, living in a delicate balance that is constantly under threat.” In essence, the studio’s title is “a game full of discovery, conflict, and relationships.”

Similar to EA’s partnership with Coldwood Interactive that brought about Unravel and Yarny, according to EA Studios Executive Vice President Patrick Soderlund, all profit made by Fe will circle back to Zoink Games. For now, there’s no word on an exact release date for the admittedly beautiful adventure, but we’ll keep you posted if and when we learn more.
