EA have officially unveiled a $50 Season Pass for Star Wars Battlefront, which is available for players to pre-order immediately if they are so inclined. The first content release through this downloadable bundle is said to be scheduled for release in “early 2016,” while the game itself is just days away from hitting the shelves.

The details around exactly what the Season Pass will offer its subscribers is pretty vague so far, but there does seem to be a fairly large amount of content on the horizon for players keen enough to pay for the extended Battlefront experience. As of right now – according to EA’s site – the confirmed additions to the game are be spread across four expansion packs, and will include;

  • Over 20 new pieces of galactic tech including weapons, vehicles and Star Cards
  • 16 additional multiplayer maps featuring new locations
  • 4 new game modes
  • 4 additional heroes and villains to fight alongside and against

EA also confirms that Season Pass holders will be granted access to each expansion pack two weeks before they become available to other players, as they try to further incentivize committing fully to the DLC as soon as possible.

More information is expected to be revealed over the coming weeks, but in the meantime, tell us, what are you hoping to see from the ongoing development of Star Wars Battlefront?
