Priced at $19.99, the puzzle-platformer has players exploring the idyllic Swedish countryside as Yarny, the budding protagonist glimpsed in the trailer above. It’s along this journey that you’ll encounter all manner of challenges, and today’s story trailer sheds some light on the narrative that Coldwood has crafted, with Yarny encountering a string of what we assume to be fragmented memories of humans. Said journey won’t be all sunshine and rainbows, however, with this new clip teasing some of the more darker and foreboding environments included in Coldwood’s platformer.

Given your diminutive stature, everything you encounter in the world will be infinitely bigger in size, whether that’s giant, boulder-like apples or towering garden tools that can be manipulated to your advantage. Couple this with the serene music and you have a side-scrolling adventure that is as charming as it is easy on the eyes, but will the final product be able to deliver on such high expectations? Time will tell.

Unravel will spin a yarn of its own when Coldwood Interactive’s elegant platformer hits PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 9.
