F1 2016 Races Onto PS4, Xbox One And PC In August, Watch First Gameplay Videos

E3 2016 may be the talk of the town for now, but once LA’s annual trade show wraps up for another year, the video game industry will enter its annual summer lull and with No Man’s Sky pushed back to August, expect the release slate to remain sparse throughout June and into July.

Ensuring that that drought doesn’t last too long is developer Codemasters, after announcing today that F1 2016 will make its debut across PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 19.

Boasting the “most immersive career” ever introduced in a Codemasters title, the prestigious racing studio is aiming big with the next installment in the formula 1 series, and a pair of gameplay clips embedded below showcase F1 2016 in anction.

Here’s an overview, per Codemasters:

“The video shows the two F1 drivers getting to grips with the new circuit, giving their impressions on the track and its challenges as they go. The historic city centre, beautiful seaside promenade and impressive architecture all combine to provide the perfect backdrop to the new track – and it’s quite a spectacular contrast to see cars at the forefront of racing technology throwing themselves around a track enclosed by such a combination of history and 21st century style.”

Expect F1 2016 to drift onto PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 19.
