With exactly five days – yes, five days – until the arrival of Fallout 4 in North America, Bethesda has released the official launch trailer for the post-apocalyptic sequel, showcasing elements of story, gameplay and the beautifully arid Wasteland of Boston, Massachusetts.
Arriving with the simple message of ‘welcome home,’ the footage is a tantalizing glimpse of what we can expect in only a few days’ time. Indeed, the studio has long trumpeted the scope and scale of Fallout 4, and today’s sizzle reel comes bearing a rather evocative logline, which states that “every second is a fight for survival, and every choice is yours. Only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland.”
As Bethesda’s marketing push begins to reach its crescendo, this past week has also served up plenty of fascinating tidbits pertaining to the RPG sequel, including its expansive score, and how the creative team looked to Bungie’s Destiny as it refined the shooting mechanics during the throes of development.
Outside of the official parameters, NeoGaf, Reddit and the like have been brimming with nine kinds of leaked content relating to Fallout 4, with everything from potential plot spoilers to the in-game map surfacing in recent days.
