You’ve most-likely never heard of it before, but AnvilNext happens to be the powerful engine that Ubisoft is using for Assassin’s Creed III. Responsible for all of the game’s jaw-dropping action, visceral environments and digitized realism, it’s essentially the heart of the action-adventure title. That is, a title which looks like it’ll end up being one of the year’s best offerings, if not its absolute best.
Below, you’ll find a brief video which discusses the aforementioned engine and the in-game elements that it has allowed Ubisoft’s development team to create. Although it’s just another excuse to show off impressive gameplay footage, it’s tough to complain.
