The cast of Super Smash Bros. just got an additional helping of Fire Emblem, as today Nintendo revealed that Robin and Lucina from the popular franchise will be joining the fight. Fans of the female variant of Robin are also in luck, as both genders will be included for use.

In the action-packed three minute trailer, Robin and Lucina square off against the returning Captain Falcon. The video provides a glimpse of each character’s powers, as Robin can cast an assortment of spells from a tome, as well as have access to his/her sword. Lucina is a little more straight-forward, though, and appears to be more of a brawler.

Fellow Fire Emblem: Awakening character Chrom also appears in the trailer, but it is unknown whether or not he will actually be playable in Super Smash Bros. or will only appear as an assist character.

Lucina and Robin now bring the total number of Fire Emblem franchise characters in Super Smash Bros. up to 4, as Ike and Marth have previously been confirmed to return. Last week, game director Masahiro Sakurai noted that they were “nearing the bottom of the stash” in regards to character announcements, so it will be interesting to see who makes the final cut.

Super Smash Bros. will launch on October 3rd for the Nintendo 3DS and later this year on the Nintendo Wii U.
