Thanks to its announcement at last year’s E3, we’ve known for the last 12 months that Microsoft would be focusing on showcasing the power of Project Scorpio or, as we now know it, the Xbox One X, at this year’s event, and what better way to do that than with a new Forza title? As you’d suspect, the latest entry in Turn 10’s revered racing series is going to look better than ever before on One X, but you don’t need to take out word for it.

From rain-soaked tarmac to sun-scorched deserts, there’s no shortage of environmental beauty on show in this trailer here, and that’s not even taking into account the cars, which zip around at blistering speed in glorious 60 fps. We’ll no doubt be seeing much more of Forza Motorsport 7 over the coming days, weeks and months, but in the meantime, rest assured that Turn 10’s doing its utmost to make sure the sequel is the most advanced racing game ever created when it launches later this year.

Forza Motorsport 7 is out October 3 for Xbox One and Windows, with an Xbox One X launch to presumably follow as and when it becomes available.
