One month ago, developer Hello Games formally announced that No Man’s Sky, the sprawling space title bound for PS4 and PC, had finally gone gold ahead of its August release. But it seems the development team still had some last-minute tweaks to check off once production had wrapped.

That’s according to a last-minute status report from Sean Murray, Founder and Lead Designer at Hello Games, who took to Twitter to confirm that work on the game’s first update is now complete and it’ll herald “lots of new features, balancing and content.”

No further details were disclosed about the inaugural No Man’s Sky update – not its size nor its expected release date – but Murray’s post did come tethered with a behind-the-scenes peek at the humble development team at work.

The trophies have popped and that maiden update is now in the can. All that is left now is for No Man’s Sky to make its long-awaited debut across PlayStation 4 and PC next week. Due to a delay at the eleventh hour, it’ll hit PC a little later than expected on August 12, while those on PS4 can expect Hello Games’ new IP to arrive on August 9 and August 10 across North America and the United Kingdom, respectively.
