After giving racing fans a taste of what was to come with a teaser trailer earlier this month, Forza Horizon 2 made its proper debut at the Microsoft E3 press conference earlier this morning.
Promising more of the same freewheeling car gameplay that’s made Forza the leading name in simulation racing, Forza Horizon 2 looks to extend the offshoot series’ emphasis on open-world environments, breathtaking attention to detail, and cars, cars, and more cars.
Shifting the action from Colorado to southern Europe, the gameplay trailer offers glimpses of what to expect from the cross-gen racer. Gull wing doors are in, as are dramatic weather effects, “seamless” multiplayer, and at least 1000 cars. The vehicles and environments take center stage for the trailer, which also suggests that off-road vehicles, which were DLC for the first Horizon, will be available day and date.
Forza Horizon 2 will be arriving September 30th for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Check the trailer below to see Microsoft’s marquee racing franchise in all its glory, running on Xbox One.
