Game Of Thrones, Iron Man 2 and Despicable Me 2 composer, Bobby Tahouri, has been named as the man to score Rise Of The Tomb Raider‘s music. In the announcement on the Xbox Wire blog, Tahouri said the following:

It’s been an honor working on such a storied franchise. Lara is someone who embodies an indomitable spirit, and crafting music to accompany her on her journey has been a fantastic experience.

Likewise, Rich Briggs, Crystal Dynamics’ brand director, expressed his admiration of Tahouri’s work, and stressed the importance of music in video games:

Music is incredibly important in video games to help create the right atmosphere, mood and tone, and this is especially true for Rise of the Tomb Raider, which is set to be Lara’s biggest and boldest adventure yet. We love the sound Bobby brings to the game, and we’re excited for fans to join Lara in this adventure when the game launches on November 10.

Rise Of The Tomb Raider releases on November 10 as a timed exclusive for Xbox One – the PlayStation 4 version is due out in 2016. If you intend to pick up the game, you might want to check out the season pass that was just recently announced.
