Microsoft has announced that their Games with Gold promotion will continue on the Xbox One, as we all expected. For those who don’t know, the promotion allows gamers to download two free titles each month. Previous offerings have included Halo 3, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Assassin’s Creed II, Crackdown and several others.

The news has been confirmed by Microsoft’s Major Nelson via a Tweet, which can be seen below.

Unfortunately, that’s all we have to go on, as no future games have been announced just yet. That being said, it’s still nice to hear that the company plans to extend their promotion to their next-gen console. I imagine that we’ll be seeing more Xbox 360 titles being made available for free download but who knows, maybe they’ll give us an Xbox One game as well every once in a while.

Tell us, have you been participating in the Games with Gold promotion? Are you looking forward to seeing it on the Xbox One? Let us know in the comments section below.
