Microsoft and developer The Coalition have unleashed the Swarm in all-new images for Gears of War 4, this time shifting the focus to spotlight the shooter’s solo campaign.

However you decide to approach the single-player campaign in Gears of War 4, you don’t have to do so alone. Gears of War 4 has zeroed in on a October 11 release date, when The Coalition’s sci-fi sequel will make its premiere on Xbox One – and possibly PC soon thereafter. Those who wish to hop into the sci-fi action can do so thanks to the open beta test, which expanded to all Xbox Live Gold members just yesterday, April 25. Having opened for those who picked up last year’s Ultimate Edition on April 18, expect the testing to conclude for all users on May 1.
