Gears of War 4 is one of Microsoft’s many games that will feature cross-play between Xbox One and PC at launch.

News surfaces from the platform-holder’s ongoing E3 press conference, which also brought forth a fresh look at The Coalition’s gorgeous sci-fi sequel in action.

Entitled “Xbox Play Anywhere,” the program opens up Cross-Buy and Cross-Play for a select roster of Xbox One titles, as Microsoft takes strides to tie its two gaming fronts together under the one pixelated umbrella. In addition to Gears 4, it’s understood that the recently-unveiled Forza Horizon 3 will also include support across both platforms, meaning you’ll only have to pick up one copy of said game to play across both Xbox One and Windows 10.

Gears of War 4, meanwhile, is penciled in for launch on October 11 across Xbox One and Windows 10. As for Forza Horizon 3, it’ll make a beeline for both systems in September.
