Ready for some more Horde? Actually, make that Horde 2.0, which is what it will be called in Gears of War 3. Epic Games released a new video today for their uber popular shooter series. Playing like a music video, the brief clip shows off the new Horde 2.0 mode and we must say, we’re impressed.

It looks like a damn good time and if you enjoyed the original Horde mode, there’s no reason not to check this one out. It’s bigger, better and from the looks of it, way more badass.

The new Horde mode is also said to be more strategic. You can choose an area to set up as your “Command Post” and earn cash from the kills you get. The cash can then be used to build defences (wire and laser fences, automatic and manual turrets, decoys etc), around your “Command Post”.

It sounds like it’s going to be a nice improvement over the original Horde mode and being a longtime Gears of War fan, I can’t wait to play it.

Gears of War 3 launches on September 20, exclusively for the Xbox 360.
