NIS America, the company behind the Disgaea franchise, has released a new trailer and a whole bunch of screenshots for their upcoming game, The Guided Fate Paradox.

Players will take on the role of Renya, a man who became God through the oddest of circumstances. After winning a raffle drawing, the boy received his divine powers and has been whisked away to Celestia via his personal angel, Lilliel. Now the two must work together to get through a series of dungeons and save all of mankind.

The Guided Fate Paradox was originally released back in January in Japan, but is just now seeing a domestic release. The title is classified as a rogue-like RPG, which is a subset of the genre that is characterized by permanent death and randomly generated levels.

Like all of NIS America’s titles, The Guided Fate Paradox will feature beautiful, vibrant graphics. After all, the title boasts the artwork of Noizi Ito, who worked on both The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Shakugan No Shana. While I have never heard of those titles, a quick Google search shows me that the graphics will be a treat for the eyes.

While the trailer itself is a little goofy, it’s hard to doubt NIS America at this point. The company has proven time and time again that if you are looking for a good RPG title, it’s hard to ignore the many offerings they provide. They are at the top of their class when it comes to this genre and if you are willing to deal with the odd storylines they come up with, I would definitely suggest trying out one of their games

The Guided Fate Paradox is currently set to release on November 5th for the PlayStation 3. We will have more coverage of the title as the date approaches, but for now, why don’t you check out the trailer and screenshots and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
