Grand Theft Auto V Mod Pays Tribute To Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister

Included in the mod - aside from the ability to make yourself look exactly like Lemmy - are a custom motorbike, the ability to smoke (digital cigarettes are not harmful to your health) and the ability to play guitar wherever you please.

Recently passed rocker Lemmy Kilmister has been immortalized in Grand Theft Auto V with a touching fan-made mod. Kilmister, who fronted and formed rock band Motörhead in 1975, passed away at the end of 2015, and ever since, tributes have poured in from all corners of popular culture. It seems that video games are no different either, as this fan-made mod – which can be downloaded here – has inserted the music icon’s likeness into Rockstar’s open-world sandbox.

Included in the mod – aside from the ability to make yourself look exactly like Lemmy – are a custom motorbike, the ability to smoke (digital cigarettes are not harmful to your health) and the ability to play guitar wherever you please.

You can watch the tribute video above that shows off all of the new features that come with the mod, which plays to the tune of one of Motörhead’s many hit tracks over the last 40 years.

Kilmister’s passing isn’t the only icon that’s been causing grief the world over though. Every sector of the entertainment industry has suffered losses, it seems. Earlier this week, it was reported that English music icon David Bowie had passed away, and just earlier today, film icon famous for movies like Die Hard and the Harry Potter series, Alan Rickman, lost his battle with cancer at the age of 69.

Could we see some fan mods featuring Bowie and Rickman? I sure hope so, as there’s no better way to celebrate their work and the entertainment they brought to millions across the globe. Rest in peace, guys.
