Thanks to the addition of online Heists, Grand Theft Auto V has once again returned to the top of the UK gaming charts. This week represents the eighth, non-consecutive week that Rockstar Games’ magnum opus has managed to claim the top spot.
After holding onto the top spot for the previous two weeks, former chart ruler Dying Light has to settle for second place this week. Chart stalwarts FIFA 15, Minecraft and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare also maintained their spots near the upper half of the charts.
The full top ten list can be seen below:
1. Grand Theft Auto V
2. Dying Light
3. FIFA 15
4. Minecraft: Xbox Edition
5. DmC: Definitive Edition
6. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
7. Minecraft: PlayStation Edition
9. Zombie Army Trilogy
10. Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition
Top ten debuts were at a premium this week, as only DmC: Definitive Edition and Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition managed to land on the charts. Recent releases Evolve and Zombie Army Trilogy also stuck around the top ten for another additional week.
The more surprising development from this week’s figures, though, is the fact that the high-profile The Order: 1886 fell not just out of the top 10, but out of the top 20. It has only been a few weeks since the title debuted at the top, and even if you consider the fact that it is a console-exclusive, Sony cannot be thrilled about this result.
