Halo 2: Anniversary’s Remastered Cinematics Impress At Comic-Con

One of Microsoft's biggest announcements out of this past E3 was the debut of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Bundling together all of the main titles in the Halo franchise, the collection also features a complete remastering of 2004's Halo 2. At this weekend's San Diego Comic Con, 343 Industries debuted a new cinematic trailer for the remastering that showcases the full power of the Xbox One.

One of Microsoft’s biggest announcements out of this past E3 was the debut of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Bundling together all of the main titles in the Halo franchise, the collection also features a complete remastering of 2004’s Halo 2. At this weekend’s San Diego Comic Con, 343 Industries debuted a new cinematic trailer for the remastering that showcases the full power of the Xbox One.

Thanks to the team at Blur Studio, who have previously designed cinematics for titles such as Batman: Arkham Origins and Dark Souls 2, Halo 2 has never looked better than it does here. All of our favorite faces from the franchise, including a returning Sergeant Johnson, have received a fresh coat of paint. While Halo: Anniversary looked impressive enough, Halo 2: Anniversary is definitely blowing it out of the water in the looks department.

In addition to the new trailer, 343 Industries also announced that the fan-favorite “Zanzibar” map has been completely re-imagined and will be included in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The map joins the previously announced “Ascension” and “Coagulation” as three of the six re-imagined Halo 2 maps coming with the collection.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will launch for the Xbox One on November 11. Will you be picking it up? Let us know.
