Halo 4 Console Accidentally Revealed, Forward Unto Dawn Trailer Released

Let’s be honest, most of us knew this was coming, it was only a matter of time before we actually saw it. Today in “news that surprises no one,” someone at Microsoft accidentally flipped a switch and revealed a Halo 4 Limited Edition console, which will run you $399.99.

As with the Gears of War edition that came before it, the special edition console comes with completely customized console and two controllers, a copy of the game, a 320 GB hard drive and a headset without the odd, yet fancy colors. Speaking of which, I’m not sure what’s going on with that paint job.

The listing was taken off of Microsoft‘s website very quickly but it is indeed legitimate.

If that’s not enough Halo for you, the first full-length trailer for the live-action series, Halo: Forward Unto Dawn, has been released.

It’s pretty neat. Although, I can no longer take Master Chief seriously with that giant bold “117″ on his armor. Makes the whole thing look cheap. But I’m picky. Maybe you’ll think differently.

Why add the Gears of War comment? Wy not add like the last halo console or the halo console before that one? This is their third halo console to be produced… The console is forerunner themed and looks like an artifact in the game. -.-

Because the Gears console was the last Xbox bundle to come with the same things, minus the MW3 edition one, but that’s not really connected given that Gears and Halo are both Microsoft-published.

The Halo console before this (Halo Reach) only included a 250 GB HDD as opposed to this 320 GB one.

The Halo console before THAT (Halo 3) wasn’t a slim, among other things.

So you’ll notice that the wording I chose (“As with the Gears of War edition before it…”) I was comparing this console bundle to those because they came with the same things. Comparing it to the other Halo consoles would not be the same thing.

Besides, this is actually the 4th Halo console. You’re forgetting the MJOLNIR edition original Xbox. ;)
