Emerging from a troubled development – thanks in large part to the liquidation of publisher THQ – The Revolution is a significant departure from its predecessor in that it shifts the apocalyptic action to Philadelphia, where a pack of resistance fighters take a stand against foreign forces occupying the city.

Thrusting you into the shoes of one Ethan Brady, today’s narrative-centric teaser sets up the core story driving Homefront: The Revolution, as you scramble across the city in search of Benjamin Walker, the ‘Voice of Freedom’ that could hold the secret to sparking an all-out revolt.

With a campaign that is said to stretch for 30 hours across an open-world environment – a tally that likely includes all manner of side quests and miscellaneous collectibles – it’ll be fascinating to learn how Dambuster’s Revolution goes down next week. Will it inspire a legion of followers to pick up the sequel? We’ll find out soon enough.

Homefront: The Revolution will rise up against tyranny when Dambuster’s long-in-development sequel drops for PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 17.
