Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment have announced that a free demo of Injustice: Gods Among Us will be made available on April 2nd for the PlayStation Network, and April 3rd on PSN (Europe) and Xbox LIVE.

Fans will get to experience the devastating power of Batman, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luthor first hand. Dropping players into the Gotham City fight arena gives fans a chance to see how certain elements of the world are destructible and even include multi-tiered areas. It seems slightly weird that the demo will only allow players access to three characters and I can’t help but to wonder why they excluded Superman? Even with the absence of the Man of Steel though, the announcement of an official Injustice demo will likely come as great news to fans eagerly anticipating the new DC fighter.

In addition to the demo announcement, the Injustice Battle Arena is rapidly approaching its final round and the contenders for the ultimate face off have been officially announced. Coming as a surprise to almost no one, The Dark Knight will be testing his wits against the Man of Steel in the ultimate battle for Injustice supremacy. The finals match-up is set to begin on April 8th so there is plenty of time for you to make calculations about which hero would truly win. There are so many factors to consider and such little time. For now, be sure to check out the semi-final wrap up videos below.

Injustice: Gods Among Us will be arriving on store shelves April 16th in North America. It will be interesting to see how fans react to finally getting their hands on the game when the demo arrives next week. Be sure to let us know what you think of Injustice after you fight your way through Gotham City. In the meantime, who do you think will take home the championship belt? Will it be the Caped Crusader or the Kryptonian powerhouse? Drop us a line in the comments below.
